The tall beautiful bearded Iris, Iradaceae, named after the Greek Goddess who rode rainbows, comes in many magical colors and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. The distinctive flowers have three large outer petals called falls and three inner upright petals called standards. The falls may have beards or crests. Irises definitely make a statement in a spring garden with the bold and beautiful colors especially this one in burgundy,pink, yellow and purple. Just stunning!
